FAQ
Questions, answered
What file formats do I get?
Every document comes as an editable Word file (.docx) plus a PDF, a fillable PDF or both. The one exception is the Bill-Rate Builder, an Excel workbook (.xlsx) with a fillable PDF worksheet. Officer forms, HR forms, the site assessment checklist, the client intake form, the contracts and contract forms, and most PI documents come as fillable PDFs you can complete on a computer or tablet.
How do I add my company name and logo?
Open the Word file, replace the [COMPANY LOGO] box with your logo, then use Find & Replace to fill in the highlighted fields, such as [COMPANY NAME] and [LICENSE NUMBER]. Each kit includes a short “How to Customize” guide.
Do I need Microsoft Word?
Word works best. The .docx files also open in Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages, though some formatting may shift slightly. Fillable PDFs work in free PDF readers such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Bill-Rate Builder works in Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice Calc.
Does it work in any state, or outside the US?
It’s built to be adapted to both. The kit isn’t tied to any one state. Licensing rules, use-of-force law, training hours and contract requirements differ by state and country, so the documents leave room for your local details, and the training guide includes a local-requirements worksheet. You’re responsible for adapting each document to your jurisdiction.
Does it cover armed security and personal protection?
Yes. There are armed and personal protection post orders, a weapons policy, firearm inspection and weapon discharge forms, a protection-detail log, an advance survey checklist and dedicated sections in the SOP binder and study guide.
Are these documents legally reviewed for my state?
No. These are templates, not legal advice, and buying them doesn’t create an attorney–client relationship. Have a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction review the contracts, the Employee Handbook, the employment application (including the background-check disclosure), the weapons policy and the PI agreements before you use them.
Will this guarantee I win contracts?
No product can promise that. What the kit does is save you the time of building the paperwork from scratch and help you show up to bids with organized, professional documents. Winning the work still comes down to your pricing, service and reputation.
How much is it, and can I buy just one document?
There are three tiers. The Complete Bundle (all 9 kits, 151 files) is $147 at the launch price (regularly $197). Starter (post orders, officer forms, the SOP binder and the training guide) is $59. Pro adds the proposal and contracts kits, the Bill-Rate Builder and 3 business guides for $109. See Pricing for exactly what each includes. You can also buy individual documents, sets and packs in Shop by piece. If you need more than a few pieces, a kit usually costs less.
What's the refund policy?
[REFUND POLICY: Raphael to decide. Note: digital downloads are often non-refundable once accessed; whatever you choose, state it plainly here and on Gumroad.]
